Arkansas Rice Research Verification Program Weekly Update May 22, 2026 – Update No. 8

General Information Most fields range from 2nd Tiller to 3rd Tiller stage. More fields have a permanent flood established this week. Those fields include Chicot, Lonoke, White and Jefferson counties. The Woodruff and Crittenden county fields have started permanent flooding and could use help from rainfall. The Desha County (FIR) field is ready for 2nd shot of N and received 1.4” rainfall. The Jefferson County flooded field received the most rain with 1.55”. The Prairie County field did not get enough rain for a stand to be established. (.10”). Refer to table below for field-specific information.
