This report is a weekly newsletter summarizing cash market and forward price quotes from selected markets as reported to the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service in Arkansas.
Corn Cash Market Statistics and Elevator Prices
The Arkansas No. 2 Yellow Corn cash market posted a 6 cent loss over the weekend to open at $4.40 on Monday. The statewide average traded lower during the week to close on Thursday at $4.39 (Figure 1). The USDA-AMS did not publish a market report on Friday. Thursday’s average price was 7 cents below the previous week’s closing average price. This week’s average daily price range (maximum - minimum) was 2 cents. Four market locations provided price quotes during week (Figure 2).

Corn 2024 August - December Booking Market Statistics and Elevator Prices
This week, the booking market average posted a 3 cent loss over the weekend to open at $4.37 on Monday. The statewide average traded higher during the week to close on Thursday at $4.40 (Figure 3). The USDA-AMS did not publish a market report on Friday. Thursday’s average price was 0 cents below the previous week’s closing average price. This week’s average daily price range (maximum - minimum) was 30 cents. Four market locations across the state provided price quotes during the week (Figure 4).
