This report is a weekly newsletter summarizing cash market and forward price quotes from selected markets as reported to the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service in Arkansas.
The Arkansas No. 2 Yellow Corn cash market posted a 2 cent loss over the weekend to open at $4.60 on Monday. The statewide average traded lower during the week to close on Friday at $4.51 (Figure 1). Friday’s average price was 11 cents below the previous week’s closing average price. This week’s average daily price range (maximum - minimum) was 26 cents. Four market locations provided price quotes during week (Figure 2).

This week, the booking market average posted a 9 cent loss over the weekend to open at $4.56 on Monday. The statewide average traded lower during the week to close on Friday at $4.48 (Figure 3). Friday’s average price was 17 cents below the previous week’s closing average price. This week’s average daily price range (maximum - minimum) was 13 cents. Three market locations across the state provided price quotes during the week (Figure 4).
