Arkansas Corn 2021 Crop Cash and 2022 New Crop Booking Market Reports (July 22, 2022)

2021 Crop Corn Cash Market Statistics and Elevator Prices

The Arkansas No. 2 Yellow Corn cash market average posted a 12-cent loss over the weekend to open at $6.12 on Monday. The statewide average trended downwards to close on Friday at $5.64 (Figure 1). Friday’s average price was 60 cents below the previous week’s closing average price. This week’s average daily price range (maximum - minimum) was 0 cents because only one market location provided price quotes throughout the week (Figure 2). For details on price quotes, see Table 1.

2022 New Crop Corn Booking Market Statistics and Elevator Prices

The USDA Agricultural Marketing Service began reporting booking prices for the 2022 Arkansas No. 2 Yellow Corn market on October 21, 2021, for 2022 August-September delivery. This week, the booking market average posted a 5-cent gain over the weekend to open at $6.33 on Monday. The statewide average trended downwards during the week to close on Friday at $5.90 (Figure 3). Friday’s average price was 38 cents below the previous week’s closing average price. This week’s average daily price range (maximum - minimum) was 48 cents. Four market locations across the state provided price quotes throughout the week (Figure 4). For details on price quotes, see Table 2.
