Preliminary results from the 2024 Arkansas Rice Performance Trials (ARPT) are provided below. This grain yield data is not finalized and may appear different in later final publication. Milling yields and other data summarization are ongoing and will be provided as soon as possible. Thanks to growers, research station staff, and county Extension agents for their support for these trials. Also, thank you to the rice growers of Arkansas through their support via the Arkansas Rice Check-Off program administered by the Arkansas Rice Research & Promotion Board that make this project possible.
Notes about the sites:
POI, LAW, and FAU had notable lodging affect yields for some cultivars.
MIS not included in overall average due to erratic and severe bird damage.
ARK2 had volunteer rice present which may have affected yields.
